My name is Long; Joining forum this morning, and I like to share with you guys.
For years studying and struggling with English as well, in the last couple years I realized that learning by listening is the most effective way. Some of you start to think about Effortless English, right? Actually Effortless English is not only source I’ve been following (we should spend time to discuss.) The reason I like to learn from listening is that by listening and repetition I have more chances to learn the spirit of the language rather than the letter of the language.
You might know, Accent is a combination of three components: speed music (Intonation), word connection (liaison: communication in a group of words), and Pronunciation (the spoken sound of vowels and combinations). Learning a language by listening we’re going to absorb the Accent of the language (It always makes more sense).
Now let talk about the repetition, Imagine that we are practicing typing. At first we try to remember the position of the fingers, right? Day after day we keep practicing, and we realize that we are practicing to forget the position of the fingers, then we type quicker and quicker without thinking about our responses. We are no longer to remember the position of the fingers, but the fingers move faster without thinking.
Finally, learning to forget the rules in English then you will speak automatically. you will listen well and sound good.
