GENERAL MISSION
- Head Cashier is responsible for monitoring and supervising Cashier team on receiving payment in the form of cash, checks, wire transfers, or credit card transactions for goods or services purchased/rendered and assisting customers with various questions typically related to the payment, account balance, or item(s) purchased. The Store Accountant also needs to oversee the workflow of the unit, balance cash drawers of cashiers in the unit, and serve in a lead worker capacity in a cash collection unit.
- Monitor and oversee the work of cashier team on a day to day basis
- Handle more complex customer problems and inquiries
- Keep track and inform cashier team on price changes on the menu and make price changes on the POS system
- Monitor the discount purchases by redeeming coupons
- Perform cashier duties during cashiers’ absence or extreme workload
- Ensure that each customer’s transactions are processed accurately and in a time efficient manner
- Pull up payment due and account history on accounts and create new customer accounts as needed
- Balance cashiers at the end of the shift, make adjustments as needed, and prepare the bank deposit for pick up the next day
- Assist with training new Cashiers
- Ensure register/counter areas are neat and stocked with necessary supplies
- Should be the custodian of the Restaurant Funds such as change funds, Petty Cash Funds and other business related funds.
- Ensure restaurant cash and sales are accounted for.
- Monitor discount, void and refund transactions.
- Carry out instructions given by the management team.

- Candidate must possess at least a College Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English
- Minimum 6 months of working experience as head cashier role in restaurant
- Over 2 years of working experience as captain server or shift leader in multi-unit restaurant groups or 5 star hotels
Previous customer service experience and administration within a Bank or other Financial Institution. - Preferably Junior Staffs specializing in Finance
- General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
